Group rides are an important part of Pedalhead's ongoing plan to get more people out on their bikes having fun. It's always more fun to go for a ride with people of similar skill and fitness levels, especially if you're new to the sport or our city. After 11 awesome seasons of group riding - we're confident that our weekly outings have earned their reputation for being the best in Western Canada. |

Wednesday:
Got nothing to do in the middle
of the week and want to get out and hit the trails? Come out
for our cross country night. All we ask is for is that you
come with a good attitude and a helmet is a must. Stop by
the shop anytime to fill out a wavier and get ready to have
good time, meet some new people who are in the riding their
bikes as much as you are. We have to groups to ride in a to
fit you riding style, a fast pace group for all you training
racers or just fast cats and our slow paced more relaxed group.
Progress in your riding and enjoy riding some new and different
trails.
July 29- 6.30pm Powder Face
Friday:
Start the weekend out right with some freeride. Break out
the big bike and come ride with the boys from the shop and
team Gravity factory. Mandatory helmet rule, and we always
recommend a little extra protection whether its shin pads
or elbow pads. With a good mix of riders from racers to just
those starting out we there is always a place to fit in and
learn some new tricks or techniques to make the ride more
enjoyable every time. Were all out there to have good time
and see the sport progress and to meet new people to ride
with.

Wednesday:
Everybody and anybody mountain bike ride. Beginner, Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert groups ride separate from one another. At least one volunteer guide from the shop/Team is assigned to each group, ensuring that the pace matches the level of the group and that you'll be provided with Vegas-lounge-style entertainment. Cross-country type off-road terrain depending on the group's abilities, ride times vary between 90min and 3hrs (depending on time of year, rider level, planetary alignment, etc...). Normally 10-20 riders per group, we always wait for slower riders (no matter which group you're in) the emphasis is on FUN and a social riding atmosphere. Check your ego at home for these rides, unless you want to be covered in bacon fat and left for the mosquitoes in the river valley. Each season we arrange to swarm Original Joe's restaurant/bar (125st-102ave) post-ride for food and drinks. RIDES MEET BEHIND PEDALHEAD AT 6PM!
Friday:
Freeride Night at Rabbit Hill Ski Area (Starting June 1). New for 2007, Pedalhead meets at Rabbit Hill at 6pm Fridays. Buy yourself a lift pass and hit the trails, without having to pedal uphill! Any level of rider can have fun, experiencing a new and different way to ride your bike. Come out with us and try something new. |

• There is no cost to participate in our awesome Wednesday group rides, however we do ask that you remember this when making your next bike-related purchase.
